The contractor is hereby engaged as an Independent Contractor to perform those duties as the ESD Coordinator as following described:
Filing of statutory and other required documents of the District with the appropriate authority in a timely manner;
Organizing, indexing, and maintaining the records, documents, and other property of the district in compliance with applicable law and the policies of the District, including the Records Retention Policy adopted by the District pursuant to Texas law and information packets for the Board Meeting;
Attending and keeping records of meetings and other business and functions of the district, including minutes, orders, resolutions, and other business of the District;
Assist in the implementation of decisions and orders of the District as may be determined from time to time;
Organizing, indexing, and maintaining financial, inventory, and other records of the District in compliance with applicable laws and the policies of the District;
Preparation of documents as may from time-to-time be required of the District by law or otherwise;
Acquire, maintain, and distribute communications of and to the District as necessary;
Provide all information received by Contractor in any form in relation to the District’s operations or communications to the President of the Board of Commissioners of the District or his/her designated representative;
Prepare preliminary Budget with Board Treasurer for Board approval/discussions;
Prepare order setting tax rate as dictated by Board.
